260 Elephants on Parade in London hit the streets last Bank Holiday. The Elephant Family is the most important elephant charity in the World to raise funds for the conservation of Asian elephant. This year the parade was brought by trustees and patrons like Priya and Cyrus Vandrevala, founders of The Vandrevala Foundation; a charitable social enterprise focused on making a difference for those in need.
The elephant parade was launched in Trafalgar Square and sees over 250 brightly painted life-size elephants located over central London this summer, each decorated by a different artist or celebrity. The artistic elephants will brighten the city in every park, street corner and building from May to July 2010. This is said to be London’s biggest outdoor art event on record.
